Sal Brinton at the 10:10 launch this week
Sal Brinton, Liberal Democrat Parliamentary Candidate for the Watford Constituency, was amongst the first group of people to join the 10:10 campaign at its launch day at the Tate Modern gallery earlier this week.
By joining the campaign, Sal has undertaken to reduce her carbon emissions by 10% in 2010. Sal and her husband Tim will improve the insulation of their Langley Road home, and upgrade their central heating boiler.
"Like many other people here in Watford, we recycle, and make our own compost, but I know there is much more we can do
"I'm very keen for us to play our part in reducing emissions, and ho e that other people in Watford will sign up to the campaign at www.1010uk.org. If we all start to make small changes in what we do, we can make a real difference. It's just like the old saying "look after the pennies, and the pounds look after themselves".
Simon Hughes MP Liberal Democrat Shadow Secretary for Energy and Climate Change, spoke at the launch, alongside many celebrities, including Jon McClure of Reverend and the Makers (who played at the launch), and Kevin McCloud of Grand Designs.
