Our councillors

Watford Borough Council

The Liberal Democrats currently control Watford Borough Council, as well as Liberal Democrat Dorothy Thornhill being the directly elected Mayor of Watford, first elected in 2002 and re-elected in 2006. The current make up of the council is Liberal Democrat 27, Conservative 4, Green 3 and Labour 3.

Three Rivers District Council

Watford Parliamentary Constituency also covers the Three Rivers council wards of Abbots Langley, Carpenders Park, Langleybury, Leavesden and Oxhey Hall. Three Rivers District Council has been controlled by the Liberal Democrats since 1999. The Council is composed of 48 councillors who are each elected to serve for four years. There are 31 Liberal Democrats, 12 Conservatives, 4 Labour and 1 BNP. Within the Watford constituency, all 14 councillors are Liberal Democrats.

Hertfordshire County Council

Watford is within the Hertfordshire County Council area, with Liberal Democrats representing 4 of the 6 divisions in Watford Borough (Central Watford and Oxhey, Woodside/Stanborough, Meriden Tudor & Nascot Park) and Abbots Langley division in the Three Rivers area.
